Introducing The New NXE 500
Our super-efficient NextEnergy range just got bigger with the launch of a new 500 kVA version, making the NXE the ideal solution to protect critical applications up to a massive 4 MVA.

With the addition of the NXE 500, the series is now capable of powering and protecting parallel systems up to 4 MVA.

Like the rest of the NextEnergy series, the new 500 kVA model is a three-phase UPS that uses the most innovative transformer-free double conversion online protection.

It delivers TÜV-certified operational efficiency of 97% in online UPS mode, while its pioneering Efficiency Control System (ECM) enhances efficiency in parallel systems according to the power required at that time.

The NextEnergy 500 joins a best-selling series incorporating 250 kVA, 300 kVA and 400 kVA versions.

Flexible And Resilient Range

The choice of four different power sizes makes the NextEnergy family ideal for satisfying the stringent availability needs of mission-critical applications such as data centres, where a reliable protected power supply is essential to guarantee business continuity.

Parallel up to 8 NXE units for additional power or redundancy (N+1). Hot System Expansion (HSE) capability enables extra units to be added without having to switch the entire UPS system to bypass, ensuring the critical load is protected at all times.

Exceptional Performance

Cutting edge technologies such as IGBT converters guarantee the NextEnergy “best in class” performance including:

  • Unity power factor (pf 1) ensuring kW = kVA
  • Ability to power critical loads up to 40oC without any power derating
  • Extraordinary energy efficiency of 97% in online double conversion mode, increasing to up to 99% in ECO or Smart Active operating modes

Active Eco Mode

This special operating mode ensures lower energy consumption and avoids the need for power factor correction systems. The load is powered by the bypass line, therefore at very high efficiency up to 98.5%, while at the same time also working as an active filter to reduce the current harmonics produced by the users and increase the power factor towards the input network.

Reduced Operating Costs

Maintenance costs are reduced and the operating life of the UPS maximised thanks to the intelligent ventilation control system that constantly adapts to the level of the load applied, resulting in a smart cooling system.

NextEnergy is also able to operate with or without a neutral line: this reduces of the installation costs of the distribution system because it can be used, for example, in data centres or in systems that do not use the neutral line.

Installation Versatility

Thanks to its front to top ventilation and easy front access for maintenance, the NXE can be installed against the wall or even back-to-back, giving data centre operators the flexibility to optimise their valuable floor space.

As with all other models in the NXE range, the new 500 kVA version offers top or bottom cable entry, eliminating the requirement for expensive and bulky accessory cabinets.

Peak Shaving

NextEnergy ensures better adaptation to power networks with reduced capacity or use with generator sets because its "Peak Shaving" function can supply any additional power required by using the UPS batteries.

Advanced Communications

Power is at your fingertips thanks to a large 7-inch colour LCD touchscreen display panel. While the complete NXE series easily integrates with DCIM and remote monitoring software, with a full range of communications slots and ports.
